Senior Project Controls Manager – Infrastructure

Our Client a market-leading consultancy who specialise within the disciplines of Planning and Project Controls are looking to hire an experienced Senior Project Controls professional to take the lead in driving forward key project work on a multi-billion pound rail programme. There will be an element of cost work involved, Project Management initiatives alongside the usual Project Controls output required at this level.

The position will oversee a team of 28 staff in total (4 direct reports) with a key part of this position showcasing strong leadership capabilities, making sure the teams & systems are aligns in the common goal and working together as one. Our client is open to looking at hiring this position on a contract or permanent basis dependant on the individuals preference.

Experience required:

Expertise in Planning & Project Controls Toolsets:

Demonstrable proficiency in utilising planning and project controls tools, including strong knowledge in cost management, Primavera P6, Earned Value Management (EVM), and risk assessment, gained through extensive experience on major projects.

Programme/ PMO Knowledge: A thorough understanding of Programme Management Office (PMO) processes and their integration within overall project delivery.

Industry Sector Expertise:

Knowledge and experience in the UK-based industry sectors, particularly within Infrastructure, such as aviation, civil engineering/construction, utilities, and rail.

Leadership Experience:

Proven track record in leading multi-disciplinary teams effectively.

Stakeholder Management: Strong skills in stakeholder management and engagement.

The successful candidate will not only possess the technical expertise required but will also bring a strategic mindset, fostering effective teamwork and ensuring the integration of systems and personnel to achieve collective objectives.

Contract day rate – £650-£680 per day inside IR35 (6 month+ contract) Permanent salary paying up to £90K + bonus + car allowance + private health care + additional benefits.
